There are several reasons why people love using coconut oil. It just has so many health benefits! Coconut oil is packed with numerous healing ingredients and vitamins. There are so many different ways to use it. You can put it on your skin, use it in your food, and even clean with it. One of the best reasons to love it is its affordability. Compared to the other oils on the market, coconut oil is one of the least expensive, but most effective oils for healing, soothing, and moisturizing the skin.

Moisturizers

Coconut oil is wonderful at hydrating dry skin and increasing surface lipid levels. This helps the skin stay moist and supple all day long.

Nourishes

Coconut oil is a good carrier for essential oils which means it can help the powerful ingredients in those oils penetrate deep into the skin.

Heals

Coconut oil contains saturated fats that can help keep skin smooth to the touch and help even skin tone. The fats can also reduce the appearance of pores. 

Repairs

Coconut oil contains vitamin E, which can repair the skin, and help prevent the appearance of wrinkles. The proteins work on your cellular health, repairing tissue and healing damaged cells.

How do you use it?

You can rub coconut oil into your skin just like a moisturizer. You can also put it in homemade body scrubs or use it as a face wash. There are so many great ways to use coconut oil in your skin care routine. You can also include coconut oil in your diet!

Are there any drawbacks?

Not really. Coconut oil can cause allergic reactions when it is made into a derivative ( like what you may find in some over-the-counter skin care routines), but other than that is very safe. This makes coconut oil great for people with sensitive skin.
