Essential Oils

Essential oils are becoming more and more popular.  You have probably heard of them by now, but may not know exactly what they are, or where they come from. They are derived from the bark, leaves, petals, stems, and roots of different plants. The ingredients are then distilled into oil. Essential oils are high in concentration, so they should not be applied directly to the skin. They are often combined with a seed oil, or carrier oil.

Benefits

Many people love using essential oils because they have an amazing effect on the skin. People also love the fact that the ingredients are all natural. Because of this, you won’t need to worry about using anything that could damage your skin.

Essential oils have many benefits. Even when they are combined with a carrier oil, essential oils are very effective at healing and revitalizing the skin. Before you apply essential oils to your face, you should always combine it with a carrier oil first. Then apply it the same way as other skin care products.

Seed Oils

Seed oils are also derived from plants, but they are pulled from the fatty portions of plants, like seeds and nuts. Seed oils are often used to cook with. They can also be used as a skin care treatment, or as a solution to dilute other oils, such as essential oils.

Benefits

People love seed oils for a few reasons. They are an ideal carrier for essential oils. You can safely apply essential oils to your face after you have diluted them with a carrier oil. Carrier oils bring even more benefits (even without combining with essential oils). Seed oils have a thicker and fattier content, which makes them great for moisturizing the skin. They help the skin retain the moisture for a longer period of time.  Seed Oil can be applied directly to the skin. Or for an even more powerful skin care routine, just add other essential oils to it!
